Steel Projects that Need Construction Project Managers

Posted on August 8, 2017

Many people think that steel is only used for large buildings, like skyscrapers or hospitals, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Steel can be used for any type of building, because it will ensure that the building stays standing even when the strongest winds and storms go through an area.

Here are 5 steel projects that need construction project managers:

Churches

A church constructed from steel will ensure that everyone inside is safe when a storm hits. Most churches do not consider steel as an option, which is a shame, because there is no better place for people to go when they are worried about a storm or hurricane and need to be around other people.

Storm Shelters

Anyone can build a storm shelter on their property to keep them safe during a storm. If you do not feel like your home will withstand the winds of a hurricane, then you may want to consider constructing a storm shelter out of steel on your property. You can customize this space to fit your needs as you are waiting out the storm.

Picnic Shelters

Most picnic shelters are made from wood, but they do not last as long as the ones that have been built using steel. If you build this type of picnic shelter using steel, you will not have to worry about rotting wood, holes in the roof, or the entire shelter collapsing after a large storm.

Homes

Yes, a home can be built out of steel and you will be surprised at how traditional it still looks, while being sturdier and stronger than a house made out of wood. The customization process takes everything into consideration as if you were discussing your design with a designer.

Barns

Barns can also be constructed out of steel and there is no better material to keep your animals and equipment safe from storms, fire, and more. Many farmers rely on their livestock for their livelihood. We understand this and are available anytime to discuss your farming needs in regards to steel buildings.

You may be surprised at how much can be built by steel, while also wondering why we are saying that a project manager is needed for these buildings. Steel buildings are just as detailed as buildings constructed with other materials and a project manager will ensure that the job is staying on schedule and being done properly.

In fact, a project manager is extremely important for steel buildings, because all these buildings are constructed on site and do not use any prefabricated kits. Therefore, the project manager is needed in case any issues arise in the size of the steel that was delivered and makes any necessary adjustments.

Steel buildings are extremely useful here in the central Florida area. We see several tropical storms and hurricanes over time, and it’s our responsibility to protect our belongings. Call us at 407-316-8544 to discuss ways to take full advantage of steel buildings in the Orlando area or in other areas of central Florida.
